It’s no use going back to yesterday because I was a different person then.
Or at least we collided in both framing our work around Lewis Carrol’s Alice books. And since the show was taking place at VaC, the gallery where I tend to show my work, they asked me to perform. I’m always happy to speak about my work, but no, I was asked to tell a personal story. Something related to Alice’s own journey, something related to the theme Drink Me. Now for the late night crowd that was there to listen, it probably meant something very different to what I came up with. For my story, I told about one of the most terrifying and excruciating experiences I’ve ever been through, and I guess, how that related to Alice’s adventures. You can listen to the story here.
